From time to time, the Project will post sample documents on this web site. These will include both documents to be published in one of the volumes of African-American Religion: A Historical Interpretation with Representative Documents and other documents that, in whole or in part, will be omitted from the published collection. Each posting consists of an interpretive introductory headnote followed by a transcription of the document. The following sample documents are available at this time:
